Paddle and Portage canoes is all about changing the culture of canoeing in Australia. But we don’t just do this through canoe and canoe accessory sales: we also happen to be a team of passionate and professional canoe guides and instructors.
Our sister company Valley Outdoors is where we get to share our skills and knowledge and create opportunities for people to spend time in nature together, and connect to what is important.
Valley Outdoors is based in the Kangaroo Valley, NSW and they offer canoe tours, hire and instruction at a range of locations across the Southern Highlands, the South Coast and further afield.
Canoe Hire
If you want to get out on the water but are not yet ready to purchase your own canoe, Valley Outdoors provide a range of different hire options ranging from our high quality rotomoulded Silverbirch Canoes from the UK to Ultralight canoe hire for a range of popular Wenonah models in Kevlar Ultralight layup. Valley Outdoors offers both take away, AND delivery within Kangaroo Valley for half-day, full day and multi-day hires.
Private/Group Skills Instruction
The Valley Outdoors Team have extensive experience in providing skills training for both industry and the general public.
Whether you’re looking for foundational skills, personal coaching, or formal qualifications, Valley Outdoors has a range of courses and options available to meet your needs.
Tours
Valley Outdoor provides canoeing tours from a few hours to a few days. Head out with an experienced and passionate guide on flat water, white water, or perhaps check out one of our special group experiences that include other options like hiking or abseiling. A guided tour is a great way to try canoeing for the first time, or perhaps to simply let someone else do all the planning so you can just get on with some happy paddling.
